Coatings & Finishing

Powder Coating Services in Texas

Most powder coaters cannot plate, and most platers cannot powder coat. Gleco does both, which means the parts that need zinc plus a powder topcoat, or chem film plus powder, move through one supplier on one purchase order instead of bouncing between shops. Powder coating runs through Gleco Paint & Powder Coating at our Rowlett, Texas campus, part of the same family of companies — certified to AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015, RoHS compliant, and a Products Finishing Top Shops Elite shop for 2024.

Masked and plugged

Threads, bores and sealing faces masked with tape, plugs and caps before the part goes in the booth.

Aerospace, Defense & Industrial Powder Coating

For aerospace and defense work, the pretreatment usually decides whether the coating performs. Because Gleco applies chem film (MIL-DTL-5541), anodize (MIL-PRF-8625), and plating in-house, your powder-coated part gets a controlled, certified pretreatment and a topcoat from the same quality system. We also provide CARC and MIL-spec painting and EMI shielding for military and electronics hardware.
Customers use Gleco powder coating across electronics, military, automotive, motorcycle, aeronautics and aviation, architectural, medical, and commercial applications — from enclosures and chassis to brackets and structural hardware.

Why Combine Plating and Powder at One Shop

Red powder coated part on the coating line
A formed part finished in gloss red powder, hanging on the line. Powder is applied electrostatically and cured in house, so plating and powder run under the same roof.
White powder coated perforated sheet metal enclosure
A perforated enclosure in white powder. Perforated and formed work is where powder earns its keep — even coverage over edges and returns, with the holes left clear.
Racked brackets after powder coating
Racked and hung for a production run. How a part is racked decides where the coating lands and where the hook marks go — it is worth talking through before the first article.
FAQ

Powder Coating FAQ

Can you plate and powder coat the same part?
Yes. Combinations such as zinc plating with a powder topcoat, or chem film pretreatment under powder, run in-house under one purchase order.
What finishes and colors can you powder coat?
Smooth or textured finishes, including veined and wrinkled powder, in a large range of colors — solids, fluorescents, candies, chromes, and custom matches from suppliers including DuPont, Sherwin-Williams, Tiger-Drylac, and Morton. Polyester, epoxy, hybrid, and FDA/UL-approved powders are available.
Do you powder coat aerospace and military parts?
Yes. We serve aerospace, defense, and military customers under an AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 quality system, with certified pretreatments including chem film per MIL-DTL-5541, plus CARC and MIL-spec painting.
Do you handle low volumes and production runs?
Both. With a large batch oven and a four-stage conveyor curing system, Gleco runs everything from small batches to high-mix, high-volume production.
