Cerakote is a thin-film ceramic coating known for hardness, wear resistance, corrosion protection and chemical resistance at very low film build. At Gleco the bulk of it goes on aerospace — aircraft seating and cabin interior components — with firearms, defense and industrial work alongside. Gleco’s AS9100D certification covers its Cerakote line, which is unusual among applicators.
The largest share of Gleco’s Cerakote work is aerospace: aircraft seating structure, cabin interior components, trim, and hardware where the finish has to look right, stay right, and survive constant handling. Cerakote suits that work because it is thin, hard, and available in a controlled colour range — it protects and decorates in one film without adding the bulk of a paint system.
Gleco also coats firearms components, defense hardware, and industrial parts. Gleco is ITAR Registered and DFARS compliant, and every Cerakote job is documented under the same AS9100D quality system that governs our aerospace plating.
Yes, though aerospace interiors and seating are the larger share of our Cerakote work. We also coat parts for firearms manufacturers and component makers, along with defense and industrial hardware. Applicable firearms regulations are handled during quoting.
Most Cerakote applicators are small shops working outside a formal quality system. Gleco’s AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certification covers its Cerakote work, which means documented process control, lot traceability, and inspection discipline — the reason aerospace interiors customers send the work here.
