Paint adhesion and corrosion performance start with surface preparation. Because Gleco performs chem film (MIL-DTL-5541), anodize (MIL-PRF-8625), zinc and zinc-nickel plating, and passivation in-house, your painted part can receive its full pretreatment and coating sequence from one supplier under one quality system. That eliminates the finger-pointing that happens when the plater and the painter are different companies and a coating fails.

Can you plate or chem film a part before painting it?

Yes, and that is the core advantage. Pretreatment and paint run in-house under the same AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 quality system.

When should I choose wet paint over powder coating?

Wet paint fits parts that cannot take powder cure temperatures, prints that specify a liquid coating system, and finish requirements powder cannot meet. We offer both, so we can recommend the right process instead of the one we happen to sell.
