In 2022, Gleco Plating became aware of a very challenged valve manufacturer in Oklahoma. Their current plating vendor had recently had a fire in their facility, and unfortunately, for the valve manufacturer, it would be several months before the plating company could fulfill any future orders.

We wanted to see if we could help. While their current plating vendor was a larger “player” in the plating arena, we knew we could meet and exceed quality and turnaround given the chance. The valve manufacturer had already tried to source a new vendor, testing plating companies in over 5 states, and they could not find a company that, in their words, was “anywhere close to (the quality) where the previous was.”

We received an opportunity to show them what we could do by plating 10 boxes of parts. While we thought it was just another easy job, they later shared that those were some of their most difficult parts, and how impressed they were not only by our quality but by our quick turnaround.

Despite the original vendor’s recovery from the fire and back in business, our level of communication, speed, quality, and commitment has allowed us to continue as their primary supplier.
