Metal Finishing in Edinburg, TX

Plating, anodizing and passivation run at our McAllen plant, about fifteen minutes from Edinburg. AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 registered, ITAR registered, with the finishing done in the Valley instead of trucked to San Antonio or Houston.

Why Edinburg shops use us

Finishing for Edinburg Manufacturers

Edinburg is the county seat of Hidalgo County and carries a broad mix of light manufacturing, equipment fabrication and machine work. Most of it needs the same three things from a finisher: the right specification, documentation an auditor will accept, and a turnaround that does not add a week of freight in each direction.

The full process list, one purchase order

Zinc, zinc-nickel, cadmium, electroless nickel, sulfamate nickel, bright nickel, chem film, Type II and Type III anodize, nitric passivation, tin, gold and silver all run at McAllen. A part needing two finishes does not need two vendors.

Certified, not just capable

AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 registered, ITAR registered and DFARS compliant. Every order ships with a Certificate of Conformance referencing the exact specification and revision your purchase order invokes.

Engineering support before you order

Send the print. If the callout is wrong, obsolete or impossible on your substrate, you will hear that before the parts arrive rather than after the first article fails.

Bilingual, on both sides of the desk

Our McAllen team works in English and Spanish, which matters when your engineers, buyers and drivers do too.

Logistics

Fifteen Minutes Down US-281

The McAllen plant sits at 3800 W. Ursula Ave, a short run south from Edinburg. For most Edinburg shops that is a same-morning drop and a same-week return, without a part ever leaving Hidalgo County. The alternative most Valley manufacturers have lived with is shipping to San Antonio, Houston or Dallas and adding several days of transit in each direction, plus the handling damage that comes with it.

Not sure whether a finish runs at McAllen or Rowlett? A few processes are plant-specific. Send the print and we will route it and tell you which plant it runs in.

Common questions

Edinburg Finishing Questions

Do you pick up in Edinburg?

Talk to us about the schedule. Most Edinburg customers drop parts at the McAllen plant on Ursula Avenue because it is a fifteen-minute drive, but routing depends on volume and how often you release.

Which finishes run at the McAllen plant?

Zinc and zinc-nickel, cadmium, electroless nickel, sulfamate nickel, bright nickel, chem film, Type II and Type III anodize, nitric passivation, bright tin, gold, matte and bright silver, and bright dip on copper and brass. Alkaline zinc, citric passivation, matte tin, dry film lube and zinc phosphate run at Rowlett.

Can you hold aerospace and defense specifications?

Yes. McAllen is AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 registered, ITAR registered and DFARS compliant, and runs to MIL-A-8625, MIL-DTL-5541, AMS-QQ-P-416, AMS 2417, AMS 2404, AMS 2424, AMS 2700 and QQ-S-365 among others.

What lead time should I plan for?

It depends on the process, the lot size and whether the job needs outside testing. Send the print with your quantity and required date and you will get a real date, not a placeholder.

Do you handle small lots?

Yes. We run prototype and first-article quantities as well as production releases. Tell us the release pattern and we will quote it that way.
